Good points are made here. It’s not that we no longer have “free press”; we do. At least for now. It’s just that the government and the two dominant political parties (why on earth anyone would still be foolish enough to be a part of either is beyond me) are co-opting them as quickly as possible. There’s not a damn thing in this article I can argue with — even the point that MSNBC is now more biased than FOX is relatively easy to qualify. I’ve got NO problem with this fact — but as any intelligent American, I believe that these networks should be forced to have disclaimers at the bottom of the screen at all times alerting people that they are “not traditional neutral and unbiased news sources”, but rather “for entertainment purposes only.” [When ABC’s Ted Koppel lambasted FOX’s Bill O’Reily for not being an unbiased journalist, O’Oreily was proud to tell Koppel that “everyone knows that I am not a journalist but rather an entertainer. They know I am not unbiased or neutral and I don’t pretend to be”. If this is the case, then he should have no problem with a disclaimer. Neither should MSNBC. But this means that WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS and not just talk about it.

Can’t stop reflecting on it. It was great seeing this years r’n’r hall of fame awards last night but wait till Sundays Billboard Music awards. I’ve seen the lineup. (Except for Prince)It’s awful. Horrible. What has happened to popular music? And where is rock in all of it? No room for rock and no room for longevity for any artists. Why?
